We understand that most clients did not start off their accounts journey with Xero as cloud bookkeeping is still a recent development and a major concern is the preservation of historical data. As a Xero partner, we are able to provide the following services:

The conversion is totally free and comes with one year of historical data. That means that the most recent historical year of transactions will be replicated in Xero, saving the hassle of maintaining two separate accounting systems.

Once the conversion process is completed, there are other areas that need to be setup so that the journey of using a cloud accounting software can be started.

BANK FEEDS FOR BANK ACCOUNTS

Xero currently has live bank feeds with the the major local banks such as OCBC, DBS, UOB and HSBC. Live bank feeds means the transactions are imported directly into your Xero accounts everyday. No more waiting for bank statements or logging in to internet banking to extract the bank transactions. Just follow the instructions to set up the live bank feeds.

USER ACCESS

A major advantage of using cloud accounting software is the ability for different personnel to access different areas of Xero. For example, the billing staff should get access to the sales invoices module so that they can start billing customers directly from Xero. Its important also to make sure no one gets access more than what they require as financial information is confidential.

REPEATING INVOICES AND JOURNALS

If your business does a lot of repeat billing to the same customers regularly, it will be worth taking time to set up the repeating invoices to be emailed out directly to your customers automatically so it won’t get missed out. For the accountants and bookkeepers, repeating journals to amortize prepayments can also be created to run automatically.
